CCR Profile
Cobar Consolidated Resources (CCR) is a Melbourne-based mine developer on the way to becoming a globally significant silver producer.
It has 1,371 km2 of tenement interests on the western margin of the Cobar basin in western New South Wales.
The Company’s main focus is the Wonawinta silver project.
At Wonawinta, CCR has estimated an inferred and indicated resource of 51M ounces of silver, based on a cut-off grade of 22g/t, including a probable reserve of 14M ounces of silver. A feasibility study, confirming the project’s viability, was completed in June 2010. An optimisation study is currently underway and is expected to be completed by November 2010. The initial results of this study have improved the project economics.
The Company expects silver production to commence in the December quarter of 2011.
The Company’s other significant exploration prospect is at Gundaroo (CCR 100%). Gundaroo includes the Ridge and De Nardi prospects. At the Ridge, the company has intersected ore grade widths of shallow stratiform and deeper vein-related Zn-Pb-Ag-Cu mineralization. The De Nardi prospect includes an inferred resource of 2.7M ounces of silver.
CCR believes that its project areas have the potential to host major resources of Ag-Pb-Zn in Winduck Group sediments adjacent to the major Dusty Tank and Jackermaroo Faults.
