Mr Lawrence brings to CCR strong project development, corporate and operational management and metallurgical expertise.
He has a Bachelor of Science (Metallurgy) from the Western Australian Institute of Technology (WASOM) and an Executive Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School, Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.
Mr Lawrence is a management professional with more than 30 years experience in senior line management, strategic management and consulting, including 20 years with WMC Resources Limited. He has worked in many senior operational and strategic management roles for a number of mining companies in Australia and overseas.
Mr Lawrence is Managing Director of RMDSTEM Limited. He is a member of Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
Dr Richard H. MazzucchelliNon-Executive ChairmanDr Mazzucchelli brings a wealth of exploration expertise to CCR.
He gained a First Class Honours degree in geology from the University of Western Australia and a Doctorate in Applied Geochemistry from the Royal School of Mines, London. He was awarded the Gibb Maitland Medal by the Geological Society of Australia (WA Division) in 1999, for contributions to geoscience in Western Australia with particular reference to the discovery and documentation of mineral resources. In 2004, he was the inaugural winner of the Butt Smith Medal awarded by CSIRO/CRC LEME for outstanding and sustained contributions linking regolith science to exploration in Australia.
Dr Mazzucchelli has over 40 years exploration experience in a wide range of mineral commodities and has been associated with a number of economic discoveries of gold, nickel and base metals. His first 25 years was spent with WMC Resources where he held lengthy appointments as Chief Geochemist and Regional Exploration Manager. Post WMC Resources, he has worked as an independent consultant specialising in geochemical exploration.
Between 1987 and 1996, Dr Mazzucchelli served on the Boards of Glengarry Resources NL, Mining Corporation of Australia Ltd and Asia Pacific Ltd.
He is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, the Association of Applied Geochemists, the Australian Institute of Geoscientists and the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and a member of the Society of Economic Geologists, the Geological Society of Australia and the Mining Industry Consultants Association.
Dr George A. Lefroy Non-Executive DirectorDr Lefroy brings corporate governance experience and chemical industry knowledge to his position as an independent Director.
He has a Bachelor of Engineering with honours and Master of Engineering Science from University of Western Australia and Doctorate in Chemical Engineering from Cambridge University.
His international career with Shell of 34 years spanned manufacturing, technology, marketing, HR and general management and culminated in the appointment as Executive Vice President, Asia Pacific/Middle East, for Shell Chemicals Ltd in London, and a member of the Global Executive Committee. In that role, Dr Lefroy was also Director of Petrochemical Corporation of Singapore (Pte) Ltd, Saudi Petrochemical Company (SADAF), Seraya Chemicals Singapore (Pte) Ltd, Basell Eastern (Pte) Ltd, and Shell Eastern Petroleum (Pte) Ltd.
After retiring from Shell, Dr Lefroy has held directorships in Singapore Power Ltd in Singapore (2000–), SP AusNet Group (2005–), International Training Australia Pty Limited (2000–04), Australian Power & Energy Limited – now Monash Energy Holdings Ltd (2003–05) and PT Chandra Asri in Indonesia (2006–).
